Research Interests
Prof. Holzner's dissertation examines changes in the political participation of the poor in the context of Mexico's transition to democratic rule. Related interests include the comparative study of institutional effects on political participation, social movements and political change, and the study of democracy and democratization. He is also interested in the study of transnational migration.
