Biography and Research Interests
John G. Francis (Michigan, 1973, Ph.D.) professor. His research interests are comparative politics, specifically in the areas of regulation, environmental policy and representation. His most recent works include Land Wars: The Politics of Property (with Leslie P. Francis) Lynne Rienner, 2003, and a chapter entitled, "Federalism" in Governing America, edited by Rob Singh, Oxford University Press, 2003. Professor Francis has published books with Blackwell's, Westview and Rowman and Littlefield. His work appears in journals on both sides of the Atlantic and in many edited volumes. He is currently working on the challenge of migration and political representation in Europe and the United States
