How to Apply

For scholarships offered by the Political Science Department:

  • Obtain official academic transcripts;
  • Request letters of recommendation from from instructors, teachers, faculty or academic program advisors. You must have two (2) letters of recommendation.
  • Complete and sign the APPLICATION PACKET FOR UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS;
  • Mail or deliver the Application Packet with all supporting documentation to the Political Science Department at the University of Utah.

 

All Scholarships awarded through the Political Science Department at the University of Utah require the following criteria be met:

  • Students must be matriculated (degree-seeking) with the University of Utah.
  • Students must be seeking their first Bachelor degree at the University of Utah, and have not had a Bachelor's degree awarded to them by any institution
  • Students must a declared Political Science major.
  • Recipients of scholarship awards must enroll in at least one Political Science course in each semester (Fall and Spring) of the academic year for which they recieve the award.
  • Recipients of scholarship awards must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) in each semester (Fall and Spring) of the academic year for which they recieve the award.
  • Recipients of scholarship awards must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 in each semester (Fall and Spring) of the academic year for which they recieve the award.

Applicants will be considered for any, and all, scholarships available through the Political Department and for which they may qualify.
